Three Problems, One Pattern

January 15, 20262 min read

My UK client sent me videos of her KWPN gelding and I smiled the moment I pressed play.

He was hanging and blocking through his left side after every jump.

She'd done everything the experts recommended - teeth checked, vet cleared him for work, regular bodywork sessions. The hanging left kept showing up.

But watching him move from the ground and under saddle, I could see exactly why.

Going right-handed, he moved beautifully - soft, willing, no resistance through the turns.

But he struggled to change leads and would stick on the right canter lead whenever he could.

That's when it clicked.

These weren't three separate problems - the hanging left, the lead change difficulty, the right-lead preference.

They were all connected. One restriction showing up in three different ways.

The movement map.

The complete picture of how his body was actually moving - all the compensations and restrictions working together as one system.

One pattern creating multiple visible problems.

I explained what I was seeing and watched her face change on the video call.

Relief.

Finally, someone could tell her what was actually happening instead of treating symptoms that kept coming back.

We built an exercise plan that addressed the root restriction.

Eight weeks later, he bends right and left without hanging.

All three symptoms resolved because we weren't treating three separate issues.

We released one restriction that was creating all three.

That moment when the pattern becomes clear - when scattered symptoms suddenly connect into one picture - that's what changes everything.

You stop cycling through treatments that only work temporarily.

You address what's actually creating the problem.

This is what happens in a Movement Breakthrough Session.

We find the restriction creating the pattern you've been seeing. Do the first release together while you're on the call with me. Map out what needs to happen next for complete resolution.

By the end of 90 minutes, your horse moves more freely through the area that's been blocked.
