Practitioner education

Know what we're seeing.
Be able to say it.

For equine practitioners who want stronger clinical reasoning, more confidence and a busier diary

We qualified, we built our first clients, and then we found out how much of this job nobody taught us. How to join everything we find on one horse into a single picture, how to explain it to an owner, and how to speak to a vet so that the referrals start coming our way. That's what we teach, whatever our qualification.

Why this matters

Taught by Nika Vorster and Bradley Whale, who between them bring more than fifty years of hands-on work with horses and riders at the highest level.

100+ practitionershelped to assess, reason and treat with more confidence
Proven, practical frameworksthat have increased treatment success and client retention

Where we start

Second-guessing what we find, and driving home wondering what we missed

Treating what's loudest, because nobody showed us how to find the cause

Where we want to be

Confident in what we see and feel, with a framework behind every decision

Able to explain our reasoning to vets and owners, so the referrals and rebookings follow

Confidence doesn't arrive with the years. It arrives with a framework, and the earlier in practice we have one, the faster everything else follows.

Our approach

Remove the doubt. Connect the dots.

Does this sound familiar?

  • We finish an assessment and drive away wondering what we missed
  • We treat the same horses for the same things, and nothing really changes
  • A case goes back to the vet, and the first thought is "what have I done wrong?"
  • There's nobody to ask, because most of us work alone from a car

None of that means we're bad at this. It means we were trained in the hands and left to work the rest out alone.

There are two things we were never taught. The first is the eye, which is knowing what we're looking at, what's driving it and what's only the horse coping. The second is the voice, which is having the words when an owner asks what's going on, and reasoning that stands when the vet is in the yard.

We teach both through our own clinical reasoning frameworks, applied to real cases. And when we can see it and say it, the business follows, because owners rebook with the practitioner who can explain the plan, and vets, farriers and trainers refer to the one whose reasoning they trust.

Where this takes us

Working with the right clients, who understand how we think. Referrals arriving naturally through the horse's team, and a waiting list in place of chasing work. And the confidence to hold our own in any company, explaining what we found and why.

The 6-step bridge to the waiting list

From second guessing

  1. ReadRead everything acting on the horse and the owner before a hand goes on.
  2. AssessAssess against the job, and stop treating asymmetry that doesn't matter.
  3. MeasureMeasure the thoracic region and pelvis to show numbers, not just feelings.
  4. TreatTreat by discipline, so the same problem stops returning.
  5. PrescribePrescribe work so the change holds between visits.
  6. CommunicateSpeak with the whole team, so referrals come to us.
